Bliss Bathrooms

Bliss Bathrooms

Concept Design

An early concept drawing for the site. I didn't go with this design in the end.

The aim of this project was to provide a really clean look that's easy on the eyes. The fonts are relatively large and spaced out, meaning it's much easier to read than most sites. There's no clutter, yet all of the information needed is there. The colours were chosen to make the site almost feel like it was a bathroom itself.
Second concept

The second concept drawing for the site. This is the base for the layout I eventually went with.

Starting out with a few ideas for layout, I wanted to keep it as simple as possible. As with all projects, I started by drawing a few ideas out, making notes on which ones seemed best. Once settled on the layout I liked, I did a quick mockup in XHTML/CSS so that I could present it to them and get the go ahead to build the site in that style.
Refined concept

A refined version of the second concept, and the one which the final site would eventually use.

The backend is PHP based, as one of the requirements was for the owners to be able to add/edit/remove photos from the gallery, and testimonials to the testimonials section. Where a static site would need to have the pages edited each time, writing it in PHP using a MySQL database means that they will be able to do this themselves from the administration area.
